Fluffy Favourites Megaways Review: Cascades and Wild Multipliers

Our verdict in brief

Fluffy Favourites Megaways is the biggest departure in the series. It drops the five reels and 25 lines for a 6x6 Megaways grid, replaces the pick bonus with cascading wins and a multiplier that grows with each cascade, and moves the substitute onto a carousel where a Claw collects Wild Multipliers. Eyecon lists it as medium volatility at 95%, which sets it apart from the high-volatility classic games. It suits players who like cascades and building multipliers; it is a poor fit for anyone who wants the classic Toybox experience.

Eyecon's page does not publish the maximum number of ways or a maximum win, so we leave both out.

Cascades and the win multiplier

Every win removes its winning symbols, except the Elephant, and new symbols fall into the gaps. If they form another win, the process repeats, and it continues until no wins remain. Each paid spin starts the win multiplier at x1, and the multiplier increases with every cascade. Eyecon notes it applies only to way wins, not to scatter wins.

The effect is that one spin can produce a chain of wins, with later links in the chain worth more than earlier ones. That changes the feel of the game completely compared with a 25-line spin, which pays once and stops. We explain the difference in detail in cascades versus standard reels.

The Claw and Wild Multipliers

The substitute here is the Claw, which appears only on the carousel and stands in for all symbols except the scattered Elephant. When a Claw forms part of a winning combination, it drops to pick up a random Wild Multiplier and then returns to the carousel. Eyecon lists five multiplier values from 1 to 5, the same in the base game and the free games. Each multiplier applies to its own way combination, and when a win involves more than one, they are multiplied together before being applied.

Free games

Three or more scattered Elephants, counted after the cascades stop, start the free games: nine for three Elephants and three more for each additional one. During the feature, the win multiplier starts at 1 and increases by 1 after each winning spin and each winning cascade, so it can keep climbing through the round. The free games use the wager of the spin that triggered them.

One inconsistency is worth flagging. Eyecon's retrigger rule says each scattered Elephant awards two additional free games after the cascades stop, while the main trigger rule awards three per extra Elephant. We report both rather than guess which applies; the in-game rules of the version you play will settle it.

Scatter wins

The Elephant is also a paying scatter. Only the highest scatter win is added to the way wins, and scatter wins are multiplied by the total wager.

Trying the demo

The official Eyecon demo opens from the panel at the top of this page after an 18+ confirmation, with virtual credit only. The demo matters more for this game than for most of the series, because cascades and carousel multipliers are much easier to understand by watching a few spins than by reading rules.

Megaways or the original?

The original Fluffy Favourites is about waiting for one of two big features. The Megaways edition spreads its action across every spin through cascades and multipliers, which fits its medium volatility listing. Choose the original for the classic pick bonus, the Megaways edition for chain reactions. Fluffy in Space is the other game in the family that rewards watching the reels rather than picking prizes.

Summary
