Fluffy Favourites Fairground Review: Hook-A-Fluffy and Free Games

Our verdict in brief

Fluffy Favourites Fairground takes the series from the toy shop to the funfair without changing its bones. You get the same five reels and 25 lines as the original, the same free games and a new pick game, Hook-A-Fluffy, started by Big Top symbols. If you already enjoy the original, this is a change of scenery rather than a new game to learn. If you found the original too quiet, the Fairground will not change your mind: Eyecon lists it as high volatility too.

All details below come from Eyecon's official page for the game.

The specification

As with the rest of the classic games, the return to player depends on which version a casino runs, so check the rules screen of the copy you are playing.

Hook-A-Fluffy

Hook-A-Fluffy is the Fairground's answer to the original's Toybox Pick. It starts when three or more Big Top symbols land anywhere on the reels; like the Claws in the original, they do not need to sit on a payline.

The pick count follows the trigger: one pick for each Big Top, so three Big Tops mean three picks and five mean five. Eyecon states that each pick can win up to 100 times the total stake. That is the top of the range for one pick rather than a typical outcome, and picks in features like this usually award far less.

Two practical points follow. More Big Tops do not raise the prize range of each pick; they simply give you more of them. And because the trigger is a scatter, it can land on any spin and pays in proportion to your stake.

The free games

The free games are started by Pink Elephant scatters, exactly as in the original:

• three scatters award 15 free games;
• four scatters award 20;
• five scatters award 25.

Line wins are tripled during the feature, and Eyecon states it can be retriggered up to 15 times. The game page's summary also mentions "up to 25 free spins", which matches the five-scatter award.

The substitute

Fluffy substitutes for all symbols except the Big Top, and Eyecon says prizes are doubled when it does. The exclusion is deliberate: if the substitute could stand in for the Big Top, Hook-A-Fluffy would start more often than the game intends. During the free games, a line completed by Fluffy benefits from both the doubling and the tripling.

The official demo

Eyecon publishes a free demo of the Fairground, and you can open it from the panel at the top of this page after confirming you are 18 or over. It runs on virtual credit with nothing staked. It is the quickest way to see what the Big Top symbol looks like at full size and how the Hook-A-Fluffy screen counts your picks.

Fairground or the original?

The two games are mechanically twins. The original's pick game is a claw machine started by Claws; the Fairground's is Hook-A-Fluffy started by Big Tops. The free games, the stake-scaled pick values and the doubling substitute are the same. Choose by theme. If you want Hook-A-Fluffy alongside the other two pick games, Fluffy Favourites Mix 'n' Win includes all three, with Tents as its Hook-A-Fluffy trigger. Our Fluffy Favourites review covers the original in full, and the pick bonus explainer compares the pick games directly.

Summary

Fluffy Favourites Fairground is a high-volatility, 25-line Eyecon slot that swaps the Toybox for Hook-A-Fluffy, started by three or more Big Tops with one pick each, and keeps the series' 15, 20 or 25 free games with tripled line wins. Eyecon offers it at 95% or 93%. The rest of the series is on our Fluffy Favourites games page.
